Spring Break Self-Care


If your semester has gone anything like mine has, spring break couldn’t have come at a better time.

We all need to take some time off and relax so I’ve found some of the best things to do during your spring break to relax and destress.

Take a bath

Run yourself a hot bath and drop a bath bomb in that bad boy. Maybe invest in one of those shelves that rest on each side of the tub so you can put your laptop on it and watch Netflix. Relax and enjoy!

Get ahead

Take the week off to get ahead of studying and homework so your workload will be lighter in the future. This might not be the most relaxing thing to do during your break but it will save you some stress down the road.

Visit family/friends

Visit those you typically don’t get to see during your week of academics. Go visit your relatives or friends you’ve lost touch with recently. Taking your mind off school and having a change of scenery could bring your stress levels down.

Schedule that appointment you’ve been putting off because of class.

It can be hard to schedule and maintain doctor/dentist/chiropractic/etc. appointments during the academic year. Go get your eyes checked and your back realigned or whatever you need to do. Scheduling and following through with the appointment will take some stress off your shoulders once it’s done and out of the way.

Face masks

I don’t know about you but stress makes me break out so badly. Put a hair mask in your hair, slap a face mask on your skin and some cucumbers on your eyes. Kick your feet up and relax.

Take some you-time

Go treat ya self at the mall! Go get some retail therapy and spend a little extra. Get a new top, a new dress, or some new shoes. You deserve it!

Do whatever you need to do to relax. I hope this helps you prepare to go back to school after break. The semester will be over before we know it. Don’t give up because you’ve got this! Raider up!
